clump of clay

Have you ever felt the pressure of the Father’s hands molding, shaping you into something extraordinary? Have you been through circumstances (or for some, tragedies) where you feel overwhelmly pressed? Have you been through the trials of fire that life has to offer? I have.

This last few weeks, I have the privileged in being enrolled in the Master’s Resiliency Trainer certification course. The materials is based on the Complete Soldiers Fitness program, a program to assist Soldiers and Families to increase resiliencies in five areas: physical, mental, social, family and spiritual. And within this course, we had to answer a survey that determines our Top 5 Character Strengths. My Top 5 were:

  1. Spirituality, sense of faith and purpose.
  2. Creativity, ingenuity, and originality.
  3. Forgiveness and mercy.
  4. Leadership.
  5. Appreciation of beauty and excellence (for definition go here).

“Yet, you, LORD, are our Father, We are the clay, you are the potter; we are all the work of your hand.”–Isaiah the prophet (in Chapter 64:8)
