I thought that I would start blogging again. And so, here is me warming up to the idea of blogging regularly…
This is the first weekend all summer where I actually relax. You see, the Army transferred me to Joint-Base Lewis-McChord to the 502nd Military Intelligence Battalion. And, for the past 45-days, I have moved, found a place to live in Seattle area and set up my office at work. Tiring, for sure. But…I finally get to enjoy my cozy 1-bedroom apartment and neighborhood.
This Saturday morning at 0617, I rolled out of bed and made a cup of Sumatra joe. And then, had some God time. Afterwards, I made a list of things to do today. In the morning, I decided to drive to the neighborhood Laundromat. As I was driving up to the Laundromat, I noticed there was a little boy (and his mother was overseeing this little entrepreneur first small business transaction) selling lemonade across the Street. And of course, I went to get me some lemonade for only .10 cents per cup. Not bad. And I reached into my pocket and gave the little one .20 cents and said, “Here is two dimes. One dime for the lemonade. One dime for your service. Remember, if you serve others well, you will get rewarded.” And the little boy glanced back toward his mother and smiled. And then I walked across the street and did my laundry and read a book.
