financial deficit

Early this morning, I rolled out of bed, made coffee, took a shower and got dress and had a brief God time of reading the Sacred story. Then gathered some last minute items and place them in the suitcase. And then headed to the airport to fly to Nashville for a Financial Peace University Coaching training (For more information, click here). For those joining in this conversation, I am an Army Chaplain. And one job … Continue reading

waiting @GRK airport

Sitting here waiting at GRK airport enjoying FREE Wi-Fi, and of course, a tall cup of Starbucks coffee. Here I am sitting in the mist of a crowd of diverse people and wondering what are their stories. Right now, I am looking at a young, white pregeant lady admiring her as she rubs her belly connecting to her new life growing within her. The acts of beauty of another. Other people are being considerate as … Continue reading

Sitting at Starbucks down the street from church and I have a few … Continue reading

What if, we dared to have the moral courage to set aside our sparring words to join in a greater cause outside of our individuals selves? What if? Last Sunday afternoon, I … Continue reading

Command Master Religious Program

Every year the 57th Expeditionary Signal Battalion (ESB) Religious Support Team (RST) proposes the Command Master Religious Program (CMRP) to the Battalion Commander for review, guidance and approval.  The 57th ESB is about 500-Soldiers (with an additional 500+ Family members). And so, it is important to develop a robust, creative program. It takes numerous hours of research of regulations, operational goals, budget constraints and unit-specific stressors. After gathering the data and feedback from Staff and … Continue reading

the javaXperience

Here I am sipping on a Caffe Americano and sitting among the Belton crowd @Texas Java coffeehouse.  Texas Java is a nice, friendly-family atmosphere where mostly teenagers and young adults hang out. Their coffee is fair. The food selection is nominal because they only offer bakery, ice cream and other sugar goodies. An appeal to their audience, but talking to the boss man the other day brought hope that a more fuller food menu is … Continue reading

Cornelius, Sohei & my Army Chaplaincy call

A Modern-Day Cornelius Story of a Chaplain serving Soldiers (Acts 10). Welcome, I wanted to take a few minutes to explain my Army Chaplaincy call… About ten years ago, I read the story of Cornelius.  This ancient story inspired me and is the vision of my Army Chaplain’s service in the world we live in. This story begins with an Italian Captain or Centurion, named Cornelius who is an outsider to the early Jewish-Christian community. And … Continue reading
